Never back down on your God given Vision. Part 3
You must have Devotion to have a Winning attitude.
Grace to you all, Last week I explained the need for us to have dissatisfaction with where we are in our walk with God. If where you are right now is not where God wants you to be, then in your dissatisfaction, you should consult God for direction and press on to His highest calling upon you.'
Paul said this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark...."
(1) Paul was devoted to one thing--serving Christ and growing in Christ.
Jesus said to the self-righteous, rich, young ruler-- Mark 10:21
one thing thou lackest....
Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
Jesus said to busy Martha-- Luke 10:42 "One thing is needful.
But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
David said in the Psalms-- Psalm 27:4 "One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the"
(2) Most Christians are rendered ineffective because they are involved in too many things.
Please note that Satan's deadliest trick for keeping you from doing what God wants you to do is to distract you by getting you to do many "good things." We must not allow ourselves to be distracted in our service to God!!!
Let's be like Nehemiah 6:3 ". . .
And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?
Do you consider God’s work committed to you a great work today? Are you not constantly de-railed and distracted by the devices of the devil constantly attacking your focus and your vision? Do the right things today.., be devoted to that which the Lord has committed into your hands.
