Never back down on your God given Vision. Part 4
You must have a new direction
Grace to you beloved, last week I focused on the need to remain committed to our God given vision and also be aware of the devil's scheme in wanting to derail and distract us from focusing on our goals. I made mention of the need to be like Nehemiah in Nehemiah 6:3 ". . . who sent a messenger to his distracters saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?
This week I will like to challenge us to have a new direction from God in other to have a winning attitude. We are not to constantly look back into our past. Paul had a past life just like us. But he said I forget those things that are behind me. What was Paul really saying? He was saying I refuse to be influenced and controlled by my past.
You can't move forward if you are always looking backwards.
At this point I will point out 3 things that you will need to master to get to your God given destiny.
1. Let me tell you, the devil would like to get you to live in the past.
- He would like to remind you of all your past failures, sins and mistakes.
- The devil would like to accuse you over and over of sins of which Christ has forgiven. You must never let the devil discourage you by accusing you of sin which Christ has forgiven !
If you have un-confessed sin in your life confess it, put it under the blood and move o. Don't waste valuable time fretting over it; confess it, repent of it and forsake it and go on with Lord Jesus.
Far too many Christians are shackled by events in the past. Many people have refuse to attend church to serve God because they've been hurt by someone, somehow in the past.
2. Listen--if you want to win this race you can't live in the past. Forget those things that are behind you.
3. If you want to be a winner in this spiritual race you have to keep gazing in the right direction. The right direction is the future!
